Habakkuk 1:1-11 A Prayerful Complaint of Injustice

Habakkuk’s first complaint was simply that God was not only ignoring the cries of the people but he was indifferent to all that was going on and that didn’t make sense to him. Why would God allow hate, anger, and violence to run amok and take over the city? Why doesn’t God do what he does and stop these bad things and bring order and justice? It’s a great question for all of us who struggle with not only our own surroundings but the world as a whole that seems to continuously fall in to more chaos. God, why don’t you act?
