The words Jesus gives to his disciples are very strong and to the point – this calling to be his follower will not be easy. And at any point they could have said “Nope! Not interested.” and yet they never did. For you and I, followers of Jesus, those words are still true today. It is hard being his disciple for the world wants nothing to do with his Kingdom come – and yet we are STILL called to announce his love, work, grace, and mercy.
