Sunday has always been a “day of rest” growing up. A day that was “set apart” from all the rest of the days – there were things we could and could not do (for the most part – all though my parents weren’t too strict on it). Even today there are things we don’t want our own children to do on Sunday (like chores) – but is that what “Sabbath” was to be?
